Wrong

How you supposed to know how you are going to feel about something at 43 when yer only 23 at the time?

You cant.

People and things change with age.

Fact.

Perfect example....I used to want to go to california

Then again you didn't think about it! Again have it mean something or stand for something! Yeah I know a lot of people that have car names tatted who I'm sure will kick them shelf at 43! Don't get a tat just because your into something at that time because over time you will start to fad out of it!

Perfect example you didn't wanna go out and get a tat of CA did you? and I'm pretty sure you don't wanna get a tat for NY!
Now if you were into tats and got one to show something with your kids,grandma/pa,mother/father your still going to be into the tat when your 80 and everytime you see that tat it takes you back to that special someone!

Yes there are tons of dumb tats out there and it used to be that every tat had a story about it. Now days you ask people what that tat means or stands for 90% will say I don't know I just liked it or it looked cool.

well for those who think tats are "Trashy" and "stupid"
tell it to my 2 and 3 year old
I got their Foot prints on my forearms (from their birth certificate) and their names above n below them
They love them and love me for having their names on there
and i also have a Bear on my arm
I am not worried about not getting hired because of it
If the place wont hire based on me having tats i dont wanna work there
I have seen places not hire due to this they will hire someone with YEARS less experience and knowledge over a guy who has tons of experience and college in the field just because he has a few tats
oh well
I have a job that pays over 20 bucks an hour and I have tats

Guess it really depends on the person.

Nothing sticks true for everyone.

Could have thought on it for years back then and it would still be the same now.

Just how it is...

I have 3 tats, my son's name on my right bicep. My daughter's name on my left bicep & my last name on my back. All in fancy handwriting & all can be covered with a simple t-shirt. I do not regret getting them & recieved several compliments on them.

I seriously considered a tattoo in my late 20's and am glad I didn't do it. At the time I couldn't think of anything I thought would still be cool 20+ years later.

After my children were born I considered a tattoo with their names around a compass similar to the one in my avatar. Meaning no matter where life took me I would always be with them.

Tats are a personal decision and can be a personal expression. However, they can be a drawback for employment as stated many times here. It's subjective because all tats are not created equal.

Now, the self mutilation of ear plugging I don't understand at all. How you gonna fix a one inch hole in your ear lobe? Not to mention you can't cover that up.

Tatoos are best left to fat chicks sailors and welfare mothers.
Oh and nice facimile of Chewbaka there crowpopper.

I got to chime in on this one also, I have Seven as of right now four more in the works . my favorite is my sons hand print over my heart ( if that is stupid or trashy then you can get over it ) my next is my first love and the first deer I harvested on my right shoulder . The wife and I have our wedding date and names in two joined wedding bands on out right legs, yes all of mine do have meaning and as for the job thing I work in law enforcement the last line of the field ( Prison ) and have for twelve years .to each his own but my self and my wife are not trash not on welfare and not worried about the job thing we both are employed by the DOJ .

I like the tat's for a second I thought your son's name was turkey, I was like come on.

Im inked but not with predator stuff..

For those that have a problem with tattoos. Its part of society, its legal, and you need to deal with it. if you dont have anything constuctive to say then keep it to yourself.

I bet 1/2 of the people who have a problem with ink drink, smoke, or chew. Which is far worse for your body than ink under the skin.

I wanna play too..sorry they arent predator related though. The light above the mirror put a crappy tone on the ink

Tats ain't my thing but one of my calling partners has a pair of bear claws ripping into his arm exposing bone and tendons. Joey also has a large wolf head on his back with a cross hair through it. Grizz

Resurrected thread, eh?

I only have one tattoo - an eagle's head with USN scroll banner beneath on my left pec while 18 and in the Navy.

It's a tribute to my service branch, my country, and my shipmates:past, present, and fallen. I've never regretted getting it.

Like others have said, if you're going to carry around some ink forever, choose the location and symbolism carefully. I did and have no regrets.

Im guessing its gonna be a back piece so you can fit the round on there or are you just gonna scale it down and make it the whole length of your arm? LOL
