Anyone ever hunt the rosebud res in South Dakota? A few buddies and I are thinking of trying to draw for pronghorn this year. I was wondering how the population is, and what to expect on a hunt out there. A buddy of mine knows a guide there that he uses every year for turkey and he treats them well, but I am undecided on trying to draw there or just trying a public unit in Wyoming. Any advice is appreciated.

I've just been prairie dogging out that way a few times,just off & North of the reservation though. If you go with a reputable guide on the reservation I think you'd be fine. I've just heard a few 'stories' of things getting mucked up hunting on the reservation(afoul of unknown rules).
They have a few special rules & it doesn't sound all that hard, being with the wrong guide could lead you astray. My neighbor goes to WY ever year and does fine with pronghorn. I think it's a DIY hunt on private land though.

I don't think the tribe offers non-resident antelope permits. Look under the 2010 Seasons and Stamps.
