Hunting videos being banned

This may get moved to another forum, but I thought people should know what is going on.
I like to make hunting videos and I have given people here on PM a link to my youtube channel to see the videos. I've been having problems with anti hunters trying to block/ban my videos. That's why I put a disclaimer right up front saying this is a hunting video. If you don't like hunting, don't watch this then complain.
One of the hunters making videos to post on youtube is having more problems than I am.
The anti hunters are trying to get him kicked off youtube because of his hunting videos.
This guy makes good videos.


Here is what he said.

Due to Youtube trouble from the anti-hunters I'm having to redo the format of my videos. I will still be uploading plenty in the future, just with more content than just the shots taken. All my previous videos I've temporarily taken down until I've had chance to reformat them.

It sounds like the sky is falling (again)... watch out for the acorns.

From what is being presented, youtube is NOT banning hunting videos, they are removing videos that show repeated wanton killing, and encouraging hunting videos (that actually show hunting).

Many of the PD videos on youtube are pure trash with one PD in the air after another.

Many are good hunting videos that show aspects of PD shooting other than arial splatage.

It is a value judgement on youtube's part, but it's their right, cuz it's their sandbox.

My personal view about some of the videos on youtube is that they don't do varmint shooters any favors - they make us look like slobs.

I have several videos on YouTube, and so far have not received any bad word about them. It might happen yet, but I haven't so far.
 
I've already had one video deleted.
You tube sent a note saying I could be kick off of youtube becaue of my hunting videos.
But then I do have a lot of action and little educational content.

If this topic is offensive, go a head and remove it.

Of course, this issue is about content, which in the case of animals and guns, will always be offensive to some people.

These offended people can make a lot of noise (just like we do when anti-gun legislation is pending)

This issue is also about "taste", which varies with people - not just between the shooters and the P.E.T.A. people, but within the shooting community community itself.

I have watched many of the varmint videos on YouTube, and I see them from two vantage points:

1 - Many years ago, I used to own a motion picture company in NYC and did nature, environmental, and TV commercials - we did the Virginia Slim's "You've come a long way, Baby" ads - and a few hundred others

So I see them from the point of a film maker...

2 - And I am a RABID long range varmint shooter (Woodchucks, crows, and PDs) - I've seen many of the woodchuck and PD videos on YouTube, and I watch them from the point of another varmint shooter.

Most of them just plain SUCK!!!... by even the lowest standards.

Not because they are amateur, but because even to a varmint shooter, they are crude efforts that say, "Watch me kill a lot of stuff!", and show one varmint after another getting splated.

If I owned YouTube, I would delete most of them too... they are garbage of the worst kind.

You wanna see good amateur videos of varmint shooting, then watch some of 6mm06's DVD's - they are amateur and have some rough spots, but they are good, informative, with beautiful scenery. They have class and show respect for the animal and the sport - same goes for Arcorey's videos he posts on here and on YouTube.

Both guys put a lot of thought and work into their stuff - it's not just more "Bang, splat!".

Arcorey's make me laugh out loud ("Good night Irene!") - 6mm06 can be very serious

The video that 6mm06 and Arcorey did together is freakin' outstanding!!!

If you can still get a copy from 6mm06, get one - it is a classic in amateur varmint videos - it gets (and deserves) 5 stars.

"Chuck Hunter"... you gotta looong looong way to go - if I was YouTube, I'd delete your stuff too... it falls into the category of, "Watch me kill a lot of stuff!"...

... those kinds of videos are like lookin' at naked fat girls - once you've seen one, you've seen them all!

Maybe you should drink a six pack or two before watching the hunting videos? It does wonders for naked fat girls.

I learned that lesson when I was in college...

It is AMAZING - Scientific studies PROVE that a fat woman will loose 10 pounds for every beer you consume.
