im very lucky mine hunts an fishes with me top it all off she buying me a truck here soon .. wow what a woman and a new gun for hunting . i would not trade her for anything !!! if somebody dont like her going with me thats tough , besides some of my hunting buddies wives hunt with them so no problem there !!

Thanks for all the opinions guys I feel a little better now. Didn't know how many men held the opinion that they'd rather their wives stayed home, not many of you at all! We have our core group of friends that we hunt with that don't have a problem with a woman along at all, just the random one or two that have said something, and the hubby told them not to bother calling to hunt anymore. No real harm done either, they're the type that wait til we have the decoys set to show up and hunt, then leave when it's time to pick up.

I love hunting with my wife but I need my guy time too. That said, if I was living in a place where I could only go hunting once a year I'd take my wife every time.

she shot hers at about 6 yards, mine at 7

My wife deer hunts every year and turkey hunts when she has the time. She not really into predator hunting that much but does occasionally go when noone else wants to. But if you mention fishing to her she hops up gets changed and wants to know where we are going. I also took my 5 year old daughter coyote hunting with me for the first time last year and she loved it. Ill be taking her more this year and with time she will eventually be able to shoot her own gun.

Not my wife yet but....hopefully within the next year or so. We have been together just shy of 2 years. She never got to actually hunt before she met me. She went with some of her friends while she was in highschool but never got to shoot herself. Last year she killed her first deer. Which happened to be a 4x5 whitetail buck on the 2nd day of the season! She made a perfect shot and I couldnt have been more proud. Now everytime I mention going shooting or hunting she perks up and wants to go with me, which I have absolutely no problem with. A couple that plays together, stays together! Here is a pic of her first deer!
