anybody familiar with husqvarna rifles? i found what looks to be a 60's or 70's manufacture in 30-06 with a redfield 2-7 scope on it. it looks to be in decent condition - shiny bore, muzzle not noticably worn from cleaning rod, rifling looks nice, bluing is worn at the muzzle slightly, a few very minor marks on the stock. i forgot to write down the model number, but it has a mauser style action. just wondering what a fair price would be.

Don't know the price but they were very well made lightweight Mausers made of the best materials of that time, by craftsmen who had pride in their work.

it was really nice looking for an older rifle, and felt really good in my hands. it has a redfield scope with the rectangular lens, i think it's called a widefield or something. is it a good scope?

These rifles were brought in by SOG about four or five years ago and I remember at that time they went for $300 - $350.

They are nice rifles but I am not sure they are as good as modern manufacture rifles in term of shooting quality. They somehow look very attractive to my eyes though.

A friend of mine has one that he has been shooting for the last 35 years and it still shoots really well. I have had several of the widefield scopes(the older ones) and they have always held up well, even on the heavier magnums. As far as price, I would think that it would be worth what an average used 06' would sell for with a scope.

4 or 5 years??? the company was founded in 1689, they built a lot of rifles sold for other names for years. I think some of teh Sears rifles were Huskys.
They are top notch finely built rifles. The company also built a bunch of 67 mausers, and 98's. etc. alot of rifles marked FN are Huskys.

i've been doing some digging, looks like they built until 1990, and sold the guns division to fn or some other company. seems like it was another company, but i can't remember offhand.
