Duck call toneboard jigs are always pricey. Usually around the 300 dollar area roughly. They are usually made by a machinest who charges by the hour.
The jigs are hardened so your bandsaw and file will not wear it down.
I have to say, HUT has some good stuff but I have not heard good things about that particular jig, in the duck call making forums anyway. They say it is way out of spec. But it will work for predator calls Im sure. Duck calls require the tonebard to fit inside a 5/8 ( usually) barrel and that jig is a bit smaller than 5/8 so the toneboards are ending up to small to fit in the barrels without severe tapering, which dont fit as well as a gradual or straight taper.
Wade at Webfoot Custom Calls makes some very nice ones. Whiskey River Game Call makes one that sells for 125 bucks. Not trying to drop websites here, just giving you something to compare and see whats out there.
Most duck call jigs have a pretty steep curve at the end of the toneboard. Some people might not like that.
If you dont want to spend that kind of money you can make a very functional one from Delrin plastic. Thats what I use for my open reed calls.
The only difference of course is you cant file or cut on it like a metal jig. But if your careful you can cut your toneboard very close to being done and carefully finish file.
