I need a decent 18" stool/chair for a big fella

We're going on a pd hunt the first weekend in June and I need to locate or build a stool about 18" tall for a guy going along that is probably 6'6" and all of 350 lbs. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm somewhat handy with wood and I can weld too if need be, but I thought it would be nicer if it folded down, plus a little padding would be nice as well. Thanks for any ideas.
 
Quite a few guys at my club use a pneumatic-adjustable mechanic's stool about $20 at Pep Boys[local auto parts store] or Wal-Mart....padded seat. I've also heard of folks using a drummer's throne.

The mechanic's stool will definitely hold a regular sized person [ big man]..one of my partners is >255.
 
I just bought a bull stool it works good i also use a 7 gal bucket with a padded top its nice because you can put alot of your stuff in the bucket and carry it out to you set up.

Big George Ackley was using that Bull Stool when I was hunting with him. They call him Big George for a reason. By the end of the week I felt like a Leprechaun next to him.
 
How about a 3 leg drummers throne? I bought mine for about 70 bucks. Padded seat, fully adjustable, very comfy. Check your local music store.
 
I just ordered one from Cabela's.

Had a fall while shooting off a bench this weekend that could have been a lot worse than it was. I have been using a cheap golfers stool from Wal-Mart with the pointy little legs. We were on soft dirt and unexpectedly the rear leg sunk into the ground. I fell over backwards. The good part is that my rifle was unloaded at the time (Good Point #1) and secondly I was able to hold the rifle up so it did not get banged up (Good Point #2). Only casualty was my poor old back.

Obviously this situation could have been a lot worse.

A heavier stool with decent foot pads is sorely needed and now on order.
