I need pics of yall T/C hunting rifles!

Hey everyone, for the past several months I have been looking into buying a new gun and I have asked alot of question from yall and read all post concerning opinions on rifles. I thought I made up my mind last week on a heavy barrel savage in .204 but I keep going back to the T/C Encore. So I think that is the gun I need(want is more like it). So to all of yall that hunt with T/C's let see them. I want to see what everyone else is using. Thanks
 
I had the same "problem" as you last year...I am very glad I got the T/C in .204. It is an awsome gun.

Thanks for the pic xtrempredhntr I like that gun. What kinda accuracy are you getting with the .204 and do you handload or use factory? That is a nice cat also. I hope I get one real soon. Thanks
 
the .204 is a real shooter...
I broke mine in on this hog in the spring.

The single shot is a a bit of a handicap for predators, but for plinking pasture pigs it doesn't really matter.

I have gotten under an inch, easily, with all the lighter bullets (32-34gr). The 40 Gr V-max didn't seem to stabalize well through it. I am currently shooting the rest of the HSM 33 Gr calhoon bullets that I have, then I will be reloading the 35gr bergers. I like the look of everyones T/C on here. Hope you get your bobcat soon, and make sure to put pics on here when you do.
 
Here is mine in 220 Swift. I also have the Encore in 7mm-08, 22 Hornet, 50 Cal Muzzleloader all in SS. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, it's the only T/C I have at the moment but it is responsible for several deer and one coyote which was a double lung bang flop with a .490 hole in and out.

I have one in 22-250 but can't post a pic as it is wrapped up under the tree for my 13 year old son. I also have a savage 204 and absolutely LOVE IT! Hard choice, but I would lean toward the T/C just for the interchangeable barrels.

Toxophilus it is always good to see the old style with the new. That is a very beautiful muzzleloader!
Is there any different between the Encore and Contender? I am very excited to get mine and start hunting. I am not worried about the single shot cause in all the time I have been calling I have only called in a double one time. I was also wondering if the trigger is adjustable and if the factory trigger is any good. Also what kind of scope mounts are yall using. One piece or weaver style rail with rings? Thanks again for all the pics and I hope everyone has a great season this year. Later
 
1. The Encore and the G2 are nearly identical but the G2 is about 2/3 the size. Trigger is setup exactly the same. G2 is limited as all Contenders are by pressure contraints. Typically 30-30, .223 and a few other class chamberings including nearly all common handgun cartridges. Encore can handle all the common high velocity rounds (.308, 30-06, 7mm Mag, .300 win mag etc.) and anything a G2 will handle.
2. Factory trigger on mine is excellent but can be adjusted with instruction.
3. I have several including 6 hole Weaver style, Leupold/Redfield/Burris dual dovetail all one piece.
 
OK heres my Encore in .50 muzzleloader configuration.Nutmeg laminate stock,stainless receiver and barrel topped off with a Leupold Vari-X 3,,,2.5x8x36mm.Im happy to report im getting another barrel for Christmas,.204 Ruger (blued) and also a realtree gray synthetic stock and this will be my predator rifle /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.I'll post the its predator configuration after Christmas /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
