Is there one that is better than the other? I just got an iphone, and was looking at adding a ballistic app. They have several, some free, so not.

I thought I would save my self some time and maybe money by finding out what the "best" one is.

Venatic has Shooter on his phone which is a $10 app, and I have seen him use it. I also see some free ones, and at least one that is about $29.99.

Ive got shooter, ballistic AE and bullet flight. I like the interface that shooter has but bullet flight has better more accurate solutions. For example if you put in all of the same parameters in bullet flight and shooter the firing solution is much closer from bullet flight.

Yellowhammer and I have ben discussing this a little and it seems like I remember one of the programs having all the different type reticles on the market built-into the program. I have Shooter so I know that's not the one... am I mistaken?

Sean - ballistic AE, bullet flight and iSnipe are the ones I have on an Ipad.

I use isnipe most of the time and it is not comlicated and works well as do the others.
On a 7WSM I built this year, ran iSnipe out to 1415 yards with no issues.

My buddy likes bullet flight the best.

Good luck and stay after them

Using Ballistic AE here. The software writer actually went on SnipersHide and asked what we wanted then wrote what would work into the software. There are a lot of things you can filter to make it as easy or complex as you want. I had him add a target data option using pictures taken by the phone rather than drag holes onto the premade targets. Now my data sheet can be a steel target picture or cardboard box. The mil-dot specs are USMC or Army and the reticle choices are mil-dot open, mil-dot closed, or MOA.

I am still learning to use it and catch myself cheating and using my printed dope chart on my rifle when in a hurry. The ballistics matched up right with my card that I made using the Vortex LRBC software and JBM.

I use ISnipe and I haven't had any troubles with it. Once I figured out my velocity it is pretty much dead nuts out to 1/2 mile.

Sounds like the top 3 (here anyway) are shooter, isnipe and bullet flight. I had not heard of isnipe and bullet flight, but I had heard David mention strelock.
