After reading a thread and bringing up the idea that I would really like to see someone come up with a leaver-action .22 Hornet. I started thinking; what else would I like to see a gun company make?

Here are the things I would like to see:

-5.7x28 FN bolt action rifle for varmint hunting
-.22 Hornet leaver gun
-.22 WMR AR-15 (I know that Alexander makes one for .17HMR though!)
-More factory camo options for specialty rifles (more manufacturers need to do this IMO)
-Ruger or S&W make a nicer version of the Taurus Judge

I'm sure there are more, but I cant think of them right now.

What would you guys like to see?

Savage now have .222Rem, 5.7 x 28, 260 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor

Yep,,,,,, they're not out yet but soon will be.
Not much of a Savage fan but it's sure nice to see the Deuce getting some love.

I gotta agree with BigSky except I'll go a little further and add the 17FB too. Even better would be if they'd make that American in the MI configuration. That dang magazine's right where the American's balance point is. Shortening the magazine sure made mine allot handier.

BTW, a lever action Hornet would get my attention too.
I seem to remember that Marlin (maybe Savage) actually made one, but I ain't gonna swear to it.

They make a lever action 218 Bee. And that is pretty close to a 22 Hornet. It is about as close to a Hornet as you can get. They also make a lever action 25-20. Which I would really like to have one!! Tom.

Idk why but Ive always thought a rifle in 357sig would be cool! It is a bad [beeep] little round if you ask me!

I assume you could probably find a barrel for one in a MP5 platform (.40) but that is just an assumption.

Id like to have one in a carbine lever gun or maybe even a 10/22 style!!

Let's see how long it takes to get heated. To clarify , I own remingtons, savages and TC, I like them all including tikka , howas, weatherby and cz lol. I'm neutral

This.

I have Remingtons, Savages, a Stevens, a couple of Marlins, a Ruger, a J.C. Higgins, some assorted AR's in different calibers...I think there are a lot of neat rifles out there.

I especially like that Savage now has the 5.7 due out soon. And I would LOVE an AR in .22WMR or other choices in Semi Auto .22WMR than Remington.

...few of the older "tried and true" chamberings, such as .222 Remington, .250 Savage, .284 Winchester, .300 Savage, and a few others, in affordable bolt actions, both left and right hand.

I have no use for, nor desire to own any of the "new short or super short magnums" as, in my opinion, they are only copying the performance of other, older cartridges. To those who have and like them, okay. That's your privilege, but they're not for me.

I like the older, nostalgic cartridges, and they will STILL get the job done. I know, because I have a .250 Savage(my main coyote and bobcat rifle), and a bolt .284, also a BLR .284.

"They" make all them rifles listed.....you guys just got to be "LESS" afraid of the good Gunsmiths out there.

Find a Smith that can build what you want, and take a favorite action, and do it.

Less "Caliber Specific" complaining, and more "what you want" building.

OH! What you MEAN is you want a rifle that is about $300 bucks, and have everything you want....oh, and accurate too!

Why would any rifle manufacture want to turn out "5" rifles for ALL those out there willing to buy something like a .222? My .223 can shoot just as well, and ammo is tons less....

True, but if I buy a $550 cz, a $200 scope, and $500 at a gun smith I now have a $1250 setup instead of $750. Yes I know its obvious math., the point is, to me $500 is a big differance from buying it in a factory offering. $30k I make a year as a lowly civil servant in MT doesn't allow a lot of $500 differences, know what i mean?
