Icebreaker Coyote (Pics...plus pics from the last 2 days)

I just got back in from doing some night calling. I am humbled by the responses to the photos. I just snapped a bunch of pictures, hoping to catch a good one.

Here are a few more that you may like.

Hoping to have some decent calling the next three days. I was very surprised that we ended up calling 10 coyotes in this evening, even though the moon was bright enough to read a newspaper outside.

Gotta hit the hay, as the alarm goes off in a little over 3 hours from now.

Thanks...Tony

Man those are some great photos. Love to see the action shots of Gunner. You can watch the whole thing unfold. Awesome.

As always Tony you got some of the best pictures I have ever seen in the field and I wasn't sure what was going to happen with Gunner and that coyote without a lead diet because that coyote was standing his ground. Happy hunting.

I must admit, those are the coolest photos I EVER seen. The only way they would have been better is if you would have had the video camera on Gunners collar. That would have been AWESOME!

Great pics of gunner takin care of buisiness! Don't get stuck out there, we got a ton of rain over here and it's muddy everywhere round here.

Tony Ive got to say, your pics have come along ways in a short time. The coyotes look healthy and Gunner is livin it up.Photography on stand is almost as fun as killin em.I would protect your pics in the future so people cant use them elsewhere.
How far where they?
How did they react to the shutter release?

The fourth photo down in the first set of photos is officially my new favorite coyote photo. Waaaay cool! Dog and rig are looking great as well.

Thanks guys.

Here are some photos from this morning. We called up 8 coyotes, but most were fast action, before I could even get the camera up. One even ignored the wind and topped the hill next to where I was sitting, we looked eye to eye no more than 4 feet away! It was a total rush...even though it spun and was gone as fast as it appeared, throwing sand in my eye!

Later in the morning, we had a hard charging pair of youngins coming to the call. Rolled the lead one up and made a bum shot on the second one, as it was heading for home. After making sure the first one was good and dead, Gunner trailed the second one and bayed it up about 400 yards away.

"Good Boy!"

"Don't let him get to the brush."

"Whoa! He's got alot of life in him!"

I called Gunner off as he had done his job of finding and baying an injured coyote. It slipped into the mesquite bushes, where my client put it out of it's misery. No animal deserves to suffer.

Thought I'd share...

Hey TT Great pics. 2PM in the afternoon during a full moon seems to be a productive time for calling.Best of luck this season with your guiding.Make plenty of post to keep us informed.

OK, THAT'S IT!!
You, my friend need a TV Show. "Predators with Tony -n- Gunner" "Gunner does Yotes" "Tony and Gunner's Wild World of Predators" Seriously Tony, your postings on here are as good or better as anything I've seen. Of course I expect to be a regular on the show!
