Just got my caller, think it will be fine I prefer to use mouth calls but the caller will allow more flexabilty in my stands....I really like the sound of the coyote howls and the fox and fawn distress....but the rabbit distree is rather lame.....I think the caller will be a usefull tool but dont really want to really on it......

Hey guys new to the sport and really excited about it. Getting a ICO tec GC300 for Christmas this year. Couldn't wait so I slipped it from under the tree and went to the woods. Within 30 minutes shot my first coyote. Have not used it since (can't let wife find out) but after reading the reviews on the unit not sure if I should chaulk this one up as beginner's luck or is the caller really ok?

I took mine out for the first time this morning. Keep in mind I am brand new to Coyote Hunting. Anyway first stand hit the pup distress and female for a minute or so and heard a howl not too far to my right. Switched to cottontail and within a couple minutes had a big one coming at 90 yards or so trotting straight to the call. I missed the shot somehow. Second stand was mixing all the coyote and cottontail calls and had another come flying through the field at about 300 yards. Never came any closer and 10 mins later it came back on the same path. It kept stopping and looking my way but never got any closer and I didn't shoot.
I say this call works well for what limited use I have had with it. Going back out tomorrow=).

Sounds like your having the same luck I did. I had to slip mine back under the tree before I got caught (wife's still suspicious though) but after tomorrow it's on...keep me posted on how you do! Merry Christmas!
