Idaho Hunters?

The Owyhees is some of the best coyote hunting I've ever experienced.
It's where I had my best weekend, 11 coyotes in a day and a half.... good luck.

I have yet to venture out to the Owyhees. My buddy and I planned to this year but he ended up getting called out to work in Arizona.

I have come to the conclusion that my area is way over called . All hunts are done in the desert and every road with this fresh snow had truck tracks on every single road and two track. Uggggh

I've heard lots of people hunt the owyhee area. Same for the Twin Falls and Jerome area. I have found that most of the public areas around here get hit pretty hard. Makes some frustrating trips out just to find someone was already there. I plan to try an area outside of New Plymouth on Wednesday if all goes as planned. It is all closed to motorized vehicles, so I have to spend some time walking.

Wish some of you guys would send that snow up North here..

Haven't been out yet waiting for all of the big game hunting to get over. Way to many idiots out and about and I'm not about to be shot/shot at by some half drunk college kid. Yea I'm a college kid too but there is a time and a place for drinking and quite a few of the kids up here have not gotten that memo.

Dogman. I may need to hook up and go out with you one day here soon. I know there are dogs everywhere this year. Counted 8 in the fields on the way to work this morning. I must be doing something completely wrong to be having such unsuccessful results. Tracks everywhere, visually seeing coyotes all around the area. But this one dog per fourty sets has gotten me a little pissed to say the least. Especially when you see guys on here with crazy number .

Hey NampaNewbie,
I'm also a Nampa guy. I have hunted the Marsing area a little. I was out in the Hardtrigger area last Friday. I had a hard time being quiet getting into the stand...rain put a nice 'CRUNCH' on top of the snow. I only made 2 stands, didn't call anything. Saw fair amount of tracks, driving between stands.
PM me if you want more info. I'm no expert, and I don't get out too often (family), but I LOVE calling coyotes!

I've been out around Marsing twice. Saw a few tracks, but no luck so far. What time of day have you successful guys been calling them in? Later in the morning because of the temps, or has it mattered at all?

We had a 4 dog Sunday several miles north of Jerome spent most the day out man went through the whole library though finally started getting little action on Baby Jack Rhino you be always looking for a hunting buddy hope to get out a evening or two this week
Newbie well done!
