If they bark at you are you done?

Did a stand last winterthat a Coyote barked within a minute of the first call. On that stand I must have had 6 or 7 running around me by the time it was over. I know there were 4 there at one time, spotted one heading away at 300 yards and another that my pop saw that I didn't. Every stand will end up different.

It's been my experience that once the barking starts the stand is blown. I usually move on to more productive ground. I guess if a guy has the time he could try different strategies and maybe be successful but I'd rather find a dumber dog.

10 days ago or so. A buddy & I had one running a wooded creek 1/4 mile away from us. We were set-up South, on a little timber patched knoll, over looking the low beanfield/timbered creek bottom. Coyote was barking the whole while, running to & fro.

To bad [heshe] didn't step out into the open. Smart dog /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Shortly afterwards, some farmer on the East end of the 1-mile section. Cranked off a high power down the creek bottom, to shut the coyote up. That worked.
