illuminated reticle scopes?

I tried the search feature but could not find the answers or opinions needed.
My questions are, what would be the best adjustable illuminated reticle scope with good eye relief for varmints. On a Retiree income!
The reason being , after shooting a Coyote just before dark last night, another appeared after dark, could see him in the scope fairly well, but could not center the cross hair.
I turned on the illuminated reticle and even at the lowest setting was much to bright for a shot. Just getting back into hunting Coyotes at night. My max range is around 200 yards.

Thanks much

I just bought 3 Burris Fullfield 2 Electro dots 3-9x40 for $200 a pop. Normally $329. They just discontinued them. Shop around for one..........

I have a Bushnell Trophy 1.5x6x40 Ill Dot that I like, the glass isn't the best but not bad. The dot has an infinite adjustment and can be brought down to just a glow. My Bushnell Elite 4200 1.25x4x24 Ill Dot it too bright for night work but is great for out here int he dark rain forest country.

Trijicon accupoint with green dot, or amber chevron. I have the 2.5x10x56 with crosshair and green dot, my favorite for hunting early or late over any other I own..have several leupolds vx-lll's, a nightforce NXS, and even a Z6, which absolutly has the best glass, but the green dot wins in low light every time to my old eyes..

mueller and vortex makes a few that will fit you budget. Not sure why someone would recommend 600 dollar scope.

A scope light will set you back way less (about 50 bucks for everything) if you're going to be night hunting. Although a scope light won't do much until complete darkness.

Take the advice of 2muchgun. Those electronic electrodots are very nice, with 10 levels of dot intensity. The lowest level is low enough so that the illuminated dot doesn't wash out the scope picture. Since the $200 closeout sale recently finished, maybe 2muchgun can sell you one of the 3 that he bought!

Pacecar, that might be an option, can not seem to find any of those close out Burris Fullfield 2 Electro dots 3-9x 40 for $200. The dot that I can turn down low would be nice.
Thanks guys for the suggestions.

Takem, if you would kindly show me where a dollar amount was given on the budget, I can't seem to find it in the post. But to correct you the Trijicon is not a 600 dollar scope, but is a 800 dollar scope where im from. And by the way I to am former law enforcement, and don't really have a problem spending MY money on quality glass if it cost 2,000.oo, If one doesn't like my advise its OK to ignore it, but if one responds with sarcasim, I to will will respond.. I've got thick skin, but I am from the deep south

Settle down. Sorry I hurt your feelings. You should buy online. You'll find better prices. You can use the left over money on tissues.

Burris has a model that is called a Fullfield 30 that is a 2x10x50 with 30mm tube. It has illuminated reticle and it looks to be very lightweight compared to its competitors!
