No pics, but a bobcat on a drag isn’t for the squeamish!! I had the drag pre-hooked around one small little pine that was left in the clearcut and figured even if he got it unhooked somehow the broomsedge would stop him. It worked, but checking traps in the dark and not knowing exactly how much chain he has to play with creates quite the pucker factor!! He missed me by inches when he lunged this morning! I literally felt the wind of his paw!! Forget legs or body, that joker went straight for the headlamp on my head!
Yes, I’m awake and feel like I’ve had about 3 straight energy drinks!!

I may have related this story before but, I had a similar experience with a bobcat, so here goes again. I shot a bobcat from an elevated deer stand and let the call run for at least 15 minutes hoping for a coyote to come in. I would continue to watch the downed bobcat and it never moved so I came down from the blind and went to get a picture. As I got close I noticed it had its eye open and I thought that was unusual but leaned in for a close picture and that cat let out a scream and lunged at me taking a swipe. Now if you think and old man can't move fast when necessary, that paw missed me by fractions, and as Spurchaser said, I felt the breeze! The cat wobbled off about 15 ft and collapsed. It took several minutes for the adrenal rush to subside and a couple days to un-pucker!

Man I can feel the piss running down my leg after reading these. :ROFLMAO:

I had a squirrel bite through the thumb of a welding glove once, luckily I didnt have that digit all the way in. And had a baby groundhog flip out on me as I ran out into the field after him with just a knife, he turned around and man those things get visous when confronted between you and the den. No matter what I did I couldnt get to the step and stab.

I tell folks, I can catch a coyote and pet it in the trap. A bobcat has devised 15 ways to rip your throat out from the time he sees you!!
