Im going to the Jerry Springer show. Any good gunshops in Chicago?

My wife got us tikets for the Jerry Springer show for her dads birthday. Her dad is a Jerry nut! I have seen the show a couple of times, it looked pretty silly. Anyway I was wondering if there were any good gun shops in or around the chicago area? Going tomarrow so let me no asap. thanks Lee

I've never seen a picture of you Skeet, but I'm guessing you have way too many teeth to go to the Jerry Springer show. i am not sure what i think about your comment there bayou city boy. I guess I will let this one go, but beleive me it is hard to do. I am not going for me, i was actually thinking about someone else. My father in law had a stroke last year and is pretty much home bound. All he can do is watch tv. He is really bumbed about it his hole situation. So me and my wife are taking him to see his favorite tv program. I guess we dont think about other people besides ourselves anymore! I think Chicago is very anti -gun in general!
Takes a lot of red tape to get one. So, I've been told.

I think you need an ID card for ammo as well.

I live here in Illinois and ya we have some crappy laws, but it could be worse! I think califoria has it twice as bad. If it wasnt for chicago, Illinois would be a great state. I am from the middle of the state and the people around here are pretty level headed. Thanks Lee
 
Hell skeetlee you know Illinois tries its damndest to model its self after California! No seriously, you are right about Chicago being the scorn of Illinois. All the crazy laws are due to Chicago, and what gripes more than anything is the fact Chicago speaks for Illinois during the Presidential elections!
 
I would forget the gun shop and stop somewhere for a HAZMAT suit prior to the show. Without it you are likely to contract something akin to mange, rabies, or even worse while attending that show. Good luck! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yea, but only 6 died! However, I understand the homicide rate in March '08, was lower than March '07. Everything is relative I guess.

I've got to go there myself in two weeks.....but no Jerry Springer for me.

This is too late anyway, but I have a cousin that lives in the suburds (I believe Bartlett) of Chicago, and he is a major gun nut. I called his cell phone but it said he is in Mexico, so I can't help ya out.
 
I am home and will not be going back to chicago for a while, well maybe never. I just dont see the thrill of a big city. The program was a fake and the people there were not normal. I cant beleive i had to waste a vacation day on this. My father in law got low suger during the show and we had to leave early. Home sweet home im here to stay at least until july 1st. I am heading to canada walleye fishing. no gun shops to be found. didnt have time anyway. Lee
