IMR 4320 in a Swift??

Seemed a bit snappy in mine using 50-52 gr. bullets. Other powders I liked better. If I had 2 lbs of it and nothing else I'd be shooting it................

I just read where it was "usable" in the Swift. I can't even remember what I originally bought it for and why I have two pounds of it.

IMR 4320 not great in the .220 Swift but excellent in the .17 Remington.

See? Now you got a good excuse to buy one!

You're welcome, Bill. What are friends for?

My no.1 loves IMR 4350 behind a 50gr bullet. Tried h414,rl15. 4350 is the best I've tried. The new books don't show the powder for it but when I bought the gun Speer had it in there manual. It's almost a max and compressed charge but 5shot group under a dime..Works for me. Good luck

AA2700 will rule the day with 50g bullets, around 44.5g. Try a fed 210 and a Rem 9 1/2, major diff in most guns. Expect 4000 fps, and groups opening up a single bullet hole.

IMR 4064 is great but eats barrels.

AA2700 is just a tad faster than Win 760, and H414 is not the same as 760, just a tad slower.
