In need of some new boots

Danners aren't bad if they sit in the closet all year, but I hunt trap and shed hunt with the same boot, and danners barely make it through trapping season. For a cheaper boot I like the Cabalas outfitter boots, but I am saving for a pair of kenetreks

Some guys are simply harder on boots. I know a few guys that buy the chinese danners to work in wet outdoor environment knowing they will lose water proof status in about 1- 1.5 years. About the time they need new ones anyway. I have both chinese and us pairs. One chinese pair 7 years old worn nearly daily with barely any wear and look good. one us pair 10 years old look good.
A pair of meindl worn dozen times with no wear. look great and feel right. Very solid.

I have only owned one pair of Danners. They have given me great service and are very light. I swithced to Muck Boots and got rid of laces. Love the Muck's.

I have had Lowa Tibets for 3 years now. By far the best boot I have ever had. No break-in period and very sturdy. Use them for everything from phesant hunting, early deer, elk, and coyote calling. Very comfortable.
