I started out with the Sceery short, mid, and long range rabbit distress. It is a set that cost about $35.00 and comes with a lanyard and they are all closed reed. Very good starter set in my opinion.
I now use a Red Desert Howler and a Primos Ki Yi on most of my stands. I am very happy with both calls, but my next set of calls will definitely be purchased from a member on this site.
I love using ecalls for the hands free advantage, but nothing is better than calling in a dog with a hand call.
