The Indian Creek is an excellent choke. I have several of them and have used them for years, they consistently out shoot all my other chokes. With a pattern like that it is very easy to miss a turkey at close range... don't ask how I know that.

Great pattern Bryan !
I've always heard good things about the Indian Creek chokes.

GC,
if you miss at 10 yards with a tight pattern, wouldn't you still miss at 40 yards?

You might hit the turkey with the edge of the pattern as it spreads out, but generally you are correct, if it's a miss at 10 it will probably be a miss at 40.

Sometimes it is a game of inches...

. Honestly, I am beginning to appreciate a full 20" pattern over an excessively center dense 10" pattern.

I hope next week if I get a shot I am not eating 200 plus bbs. LMAO

Outstanding tubes

Thats for sure best tube I have ever used. I have always used Remington super full turkey choke in my 870 and had great luck with it but the Indian creek in the Benelli is by far the best!!!!!

Do you have one of there's for coyotes?

Indian Creek operates with the mindset that predator hunters basically use 00 Buck and their predator chokes are too open in the constriction for the shot sizes most predator hunters actually use, like No. Four Buck, T and BB size shot. I have an Indian Creek BDS with .055" constriction for my M1S90 Benelli's and it does very well with T & BB's. Honestly, I don't use the Indian Creek chokes quite as much as I do the Kick's Gobblin Thunder chokes and for a silly reason. While I appreciate the abilities and workmanship of the Indian Creek chokes they are very long and quite heavy. They are a real piece of pipe on the end of the barrel. The Kick's won't quite hang with the Indian Creek in the 10" pattern department, but they come very close and are shorter, prettier, lighter and better balanced.

This year we have a late spring and the turkey woods are very open right now. My season begins Monday and I will probably begin with the Indian Creek on my old Benelli. As the woods green up I will switch chokes to the Kick's for a better 20" pattern because of the shorter probable shots and better handling on the gun. Probably way over thinking it but I suffer from OCD I am sure.

Ours starts on Monday also and we will go every day of the season till Will all get our birds. I am like you I wish the Indian creek was about 1" not 2" but it is what it is and it does shoot great .

I have used the Indian Creek turkey choke on my Benelli SBE2 for a number of years now. The only drawback is that it adds length to what I think is an already too long barrel for turkey hunting. On the other hand, the IC choke is just about perfect on a 21 inch barrel Remington 20 guage youth.

I agree with GC on the 20" wide killing pattern at 40 yards. If the load you are shooting has enough pellets in it to give you a good dense 20" wide killing pattern at 40 yards why shoot a 10" wide pattern with the same load?

I don't hunt turkeys but I do use shotguns on coyotes quite a bit. About 6 or 7 years ago I had to start using Lead Free shotgun ammo on coyotes. When I started do some load pattern testing on paper I saw quickly that the Hevi-Shot B & T shot the Remington HD #2, BB & T shot, shot much tighter patterns than the lead loads I had been using.

I ended up going with a IMP/MOD choke with most of my coyote loads because my Carlson's Dead Coyote and Extended Full chokes shot tighter than I needed at 40 yards with the heavier than lead loads.

I reloaded a bunch of Federal Heavyweight #2 shot in 3" hulls with 1-1/2 oz of shot, these loads have right at 90 pellets per shell. My Carlson's L/M and Modified Extended Sporting Clays chokes put out very dense patterns at 40 yards with the Federal Heavyweight #2 shot.

Why try to hit a turkey or coyote with a 10" wide pattern at 40 yards if you can kill the turkey or coyote at 40 yards with a 20" wide pattern?

I couldn't agree more I wish it was 1"

Good information and opinions.

I've solved some of the issues mentioned here by using a 21",actually 20.5",on my M2 camo and also employing a Burris Fast Fire.

If I remember correctly the Indian Creek weighs less than the Rhino and Pure Gold but more than the Carlsons and Brileys, although it is the longest of them all.

They all pattern well with different ammo so the reason for several manufactures.
