Inferno plus XHD speaker vs X24

Hey all, long time lurker here. I’ve been a casual coyote caller for a long time, to the tune of killing maybe half a dozen yotes a year. I’d like to get more serious about it this year and am thinking about upgrading my call. I currently have a Foxpro inferno, am looking at an x24 or just adding an XHD speaker to my call. An X24 isn’t in the budget right now, but will I be better off just waiting until I can afford it? Or will the xhd speaker be a good substitute for now?

While the FoxPro XP 60 or 70 speakers are great additions, they really degrade battery life which wouldn't be an issue if the Inferno was wired to accept external power sources.
Since it isn't your best bet is some type of outdoor battery powered speaker with the 3.5mm jack or take stock in AA batteries.

Not to mention amplifier output for aux speakers will also play a roll in volume and clarity.

I would keep saving for the X24. I started with an Inferno and eventually graduated to an X24 I bought as a refurbished unit from Allpredatorcalls.com. I was worried about the quality but so far it has worked great and I've had it for at least 2 years. You get to choose what calls you want on it. An X24 from MFK full of their calls would be a dream come true...lol. For now I say keep calling with your Inferno. Happy hunting.
