One of my best friends was critically injured today in Afghanistan. He may live, and he may lose both of his legs. I'm not a particularly religious person, but I'm not to proud to ask for anything that could swing things in his favor. Prayers, thoughts, well wishes, and positive energy. Anything and everything anyone believes in that kept help out my buddy. I'm desperate and will take anything that can help. I ask that you just give him the attention he deserves in your thoughts.

His name is Brian. He joined the Marines with me back in 2008 when we were working a dead end job together. We were both in different units and when our deployment schedules worked out we hung out 90% of the time. He is one [beeep] of a friend and would borrow money he didn't have to help you out if that's what it required. He just turned 23 and is newly married.

My wife, Me and Brian the night before I left for my 2nd tour he made sure he was there to hang out with me.

I'll tell you right now, GOD is real, so is Jesus, the Holy Spirit & Satan. Satan is allowed to run amuck, but at times GOD will step in.

I'll say a prayer for your brave buddy today. My oldest Bro was a Marine in Viet Nam. He lucked out & made it home in one piece. Hope your buddy pulls through. Never lose faith. Without faith & belief a person has nothing, but is empty & void.

First, Thank You and Brian for your service to Our Country. May God Richly Bless both of you and your families.

My definition of "Religion" is: Man's Definition of what God aught to be and can be explained as an external expression of an internal uncertainty. Faith [is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen] is an internal belief that results in an outward action. Therefore:

Lord Jesus, We thank You for Your love and mercy. We ask for Your blessing on Brian and those responsible for his care, wisdom for the medical personnel, grace for all family members and friends and your help in our struggles in this time of need. It is in Your Name that we pray,

Amen

Thank you guys! we have a massive support from people all over. Keep it coming guys

Very well said Mr Cline---I can only agree and second the Amen.

***UPDATE***

Brian is back stateside! He is currently in Maryland and just came out of surgery. Sadly, he did end up losing his legs. It's alright though, he's tough as [beeep] and and can make it through anything. He won't do it alone either!

To give you an idea of the kind of guy Brian is; while in Germany he woke up and spoke a few words before going back under. He only said to tell his wife he was sorry. He didn't think about his legs or himself, only his promise that he made that he would come home safe.

Please guys, keep those thoughts and prayers coming. He's my bets friend. This isn't a overnight ordeal....he's got along way to go and needs support.

New update:

Brian's sister Christina arrived last night and has been with Brian since.

He is finally off the ventilator and although he is on a pain drip at this time, he can still talk with family and friends.

Brian's father is overseas but will be at Walter Reed on Monday with Brian's mother.

Marine Scout Sniper Jesse Fletcher 1/6 Marines has been in to talk to with Brian.

Jesse arrived there just 17 days ago after losing both legs in an IED explosion while conducting combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Keep up the prayers and thanks for all the support!
