Israel admitted that while the attack was being planned, they engaged in months of “strategic deception,” such as having officials go home to dinner, then return in non-official cars to plan the strike so that Iran’s satellites wouldn’t show the Ministry of Defense with a full parking lot in the middle of the night. We would call that an “Uber-deception.”
 
FAKE NEWS WEDNESDAY, IRAN DESK: Following our 48-72-hour rule on waiting to mention stories that sound too on-the-nose to be true, we held off on talking about that US or Israeli missile that allegedly hit an elementary school in Iran, killing some young girls. Photos have now emerged proving that it was a failed missile launch by Iran which fell back down and hit the school, and Iranian state media blamed it on the US or Israel. They must be angling for a job with the US media.
 
Flip-Flop of the Day! Former conservative-turned-TDS patient Bill Kristol took to X to blast Marco Rubio over the Trump Administration creating a war with Iran for no reason. An astute reader pulled a previous Kristol tweet and reminded him that in January, he blasted Trump for not “helping the brave people of Iran overthrow a cruel and terror-sponsoring dictatorship.”

Kristol flipped, and now, he’s flopped.

Merchant admitted at trial that the IRGC sent him to the United States to arrange for political assassinations and steal documents, but law enforcement foiled the plot before any attack could be carried out. Merchant arrived in the United States in April of 2024, met with purported hitmen in June—who were in fact undercover U.S. law enforcement officers in New York—and was placed under arrest before leaving the country in July of 2024. Merchant faces up to life in prison.

Exiled Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has “accepted” the role of transitional leader for Iran as the Islamic regime is pushed out. Pahlavi, the son of Iran’s last Shah, went into exile in 1979 following the Iranian Revolution that overthrew his father’s monarchy.

Pahlavi has lived in the United States ever since, but now he says the Iranian people “have called on me to lead the transition after the regime is gone.” To be clear, Pahlavi claims the Iranian people have asked him to come back – not that he has been offered the position by the Trump administration or any other outside authority. He made his announcement in a video. “I have accepted that responsibility,” he said.

This is not a strongly worded statement. This is not a diplomatic protest. This is the Lebanese government ordering its military, interior ministry, municipalities, and security agencies to 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗥𝗚𝗖 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗶𝗹.

Any IRGC activity. Any cover they operate under. Any nature of their presence. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁. 𝗗𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺. 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺.

Let that sink in. For decades the IRGC effectively co-governed Lebanon through H-z-b. They ran weapons. They trained fighters. They gave orders. The Lebanese state looked the other way because it had no choice.

Iran's military is now dismantled. H-z-b is decimated. And suddenly Beirut has found its backbone.

This is what a power vacuum looks like when the right side fills it. Lebanon is asserting something it hasn't genuinely claimed in a generation: 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘁𝘆.

China and Russia were issued a message via Panama, Venezuela, Iran and Cuba. We can circumvent your military equipment, destroy your economy and terrorism at the same time. No hesitation. A new middle east. We captured 5 Iranian/Russian drones, reprogrammed them and sent them back on target to Iran. Way cheaper than shooting them down.
