....waiting with great impatience for the arrival of the new Bering Optics Super Yoter-50 mm lrf (or the Iray GH50R lrf), here in Italy the night hunters friends are using the Infiray Geni GL35R lrf. Of course, having 384x288@12micron and an F35/1.0 lens, we can't expect to see better than that in a big fog .... The first hog is at 60 yards, the second hog is at 95 yards. Bolt action rifle, 270Win caliber, 140 grain accubond bullet. What I don't understand, (and I would like an explanation also from you American hunter friends ..) how it is possible that the second hog did not run away after the first shot, in the absence of suppressor ... For me it remains a mystery ... .

As the Bering LRF models are not released yet in the US, I have to assume it will be a while for markets outside of the US. I hope to get a final release candidate soon to test. I will release details and video as soon as Bering gives me the approval. Thanks for sharing the video.

Great video Ernest. That 270 sure did them both in.

I dont know why the 2nd one didnt take off. Never hunted hogs before. Maybe those European hogs act differently LOL

Dear American night hunter friends, I would be curious to ask myself .... and of course to ask all of you .... how much better could have been seen with the Super Yoter (640x480@12micron; F50/1.0) in those adverse weather conditions, immersed in the fog ????

I'll you know in a week or so ....

I currently have a super yoter 50 on my rifle and I'm about to order iRay Geni (Rico) GL35R LRF (to use as a spotter)

So I will be using them side by side each night

But why is it not yet available in the US?

I agree, and that monocular isn't available in the States. I've contacted InfiRay and iRay USA and neither can tell me if or when the Finder might be coming to us.

As far as the ones available here in the US, there isn't alot to chose from. I've owned the Pulsar XQ38 LRF (384, 17 microns) I wasn't happy with that unit. (My hunting buddy has a Phenom 384 and could see a bunch of things I couldn't)

I am currently using Axion XM30F as a scanner, it has nearly the same FOV as the InfiRay Geni (Rico) GL35R
