thanks man... we will be putting up some equipment, teaser trailers, reviews, and what our followers would like to see more of on our facebook page, in the mere future... no links until I get my info submitted for sponsorship.

Have you guys ever tried to video your own hunts? IM sure some have tried, but have you been sucessful? Ya a 400yard shot isnt a terribly difficult shot but can you make the shot and run a video camera? After reading his stories and watching his clips even is clips from the range, he has done his homework. He knows his firearm, how to read coyotes, knows all his ballistics, and has top notch footage. SO why try to cut the guy down?
You hit the nail on the head man ... I am very IMPRESSED with his ability ... I haven't made over a 300 yrd shot on a coyote and that wasn't a cake walk , when you have to take everything into consideration in a matter of seconds , and run a camera ... it's alot different laying in a prone position on a hillside with the prairie grass blowing around, windage , and temperature , ect. than it is on a shooting bench shooting across open ground !!!! I very impressed , I would want him on my team !!!

I wish you luck, and hope you get the sponsors for the equipment you actually like best, and use.

You got (it) made up there, skinny. Beautiful country. I like long range shooting.

Not to many yrs ago I was quite good at it myself. I was so confident with my shooting skills. I use to shoot under or next to a bedded coyote, on my 1st shot. Just so I could roll them on the fly

Most of my shots were 300+ to 440yrds. Some farther out past 440.

One day I stopped at a farm out near the middle of a 1x1 mile section. Farmer invited me inside as I asked permision to hunt coyotes. He invited me into the LR, to his large bay window so he could point out his boundries.

Right then he said, look there is a pr of coyotes walking along creek. I knew this creek bed was roughly 420yrds away. I asked can I shoot them? He said, yeah go ahead. I turned & took off towards the front door.

He shouted where ya going? I yelled back, watch me. I ran out loaded my .243WSSM AR, then ran to the side of his house & went prone. I knocked the lead coyote off of the high drift.

if this weapon system was 10K it sure as heck wouldn't be a custom 260 built on a rem700 action... i would be thinking of the bigger picture, such as Surgeon, topped with a S&B equipped with the H58, but i'm glad it looks like a 10K piece to you... I Personally take that as a compliment thanks!!!

haha....dont we all wish we had a SR and an H58 reticle system. Nice pics and keep at em.....by some chance you do get into that feel free to send that 10k of a 260 my way....ill put it to good use here in TX

Well done Skinney! Anybody that has the NP-R1 reticle on top of his rig and knows how to use it to range a coyote has my respect...since he's obviously put the time and effort into it to learn how to put it to use to further his game...i.e. the kind of guy that WANTS to put every resource at his disposal to accomplish a task.

Some are into this stuff some aren't--different strokes.

I'll never forget what my gunsmith told me many years ago when he was adapting Leupold's Range Estimating System for the Duplex reticle to reticle-range coyotes. He said, "it takes just the right sort...a guy that has a bit more than a passing interest in mathematics." He was right as i have also come to know over the years shooting, studying and competing. Some guys wanna' pick up a gun and go shooting, others wanna' turn necks to get every ounce of accuracy out of their customs, and yet others want to calculate the size of a target at a reticle-ranged distance, relative to another target at a different distance to make a 1st shot hit when the laser doesn't work. Variety is the spice of life and hunting/shooting.

Here's to ya' man!!

thanks fellas,
i actually have the math done and have it put in a clear protective case in my ammo pouch, so "IF" my LRF goes down, i have two different measurements to go by in my MOA reticle, the smaller 16" or bit larger 18" depending on my estimation of the dogs size... i don't use this method often but still have it down, many areas you cant even shoot beyond 300, no matter who you are or where you are from, you will get a dog to hold up sooner or later, which is why i have my minutes memorized for hi speed engagement, if i can get a good quick lase on my target.

I wish I could think and figure fast enough to do what you're doing there Skinney. I get an occasional chance at coyotes out over 500 yards on a few farms I hunt, but have learned not to mess with it. I usually just educate them.
My only over 400 yard hit on a coyote came on the third coyote of three that came in together. I'd spotted two of them on a rise in a bean stubble field then saw the third hanging off a couple hundred yards from the others. I did some pup wines and got the first two moving my way. I killed the lead female at 75 yards, the second, a male running straightaway at 150 yards, then found the third as it circled out toward cover. It stopped with a house behind it then moved enough for a safe shot. I held two feet above it and another two feet into the wind and shot. Hit it in the rear hip area. When I got out there and finished it off, I ranged the fence post I was shooting from at 436 yards. I was shooting a box stock Remmington 700 BDL in .243 Winchester.
Great shooting and Pics Skinney..

You'll LOVE the rest!!! be sure to add that comment to the Predator Hunting: Suppressed thread!!! also, not gonna lie to you guys, but we have lots more mid range killing in this next dvd, about 6 kills over 400yds, one over 500, LOTS of doubles and even some misses with follow up kills that i personally think wouldn't of happened if we weren't running cans!!!
