All,
I went off on a Glock tangent, that may be winding down, and
in the process almost totally ignored my AR-15s.
So I am looking at my RRA Varmint A4 upper, and started
thinking I have owned that one a long time, and maybe have
200 rounds down the tube. It was suppose to be for PDog
shooting, but it has never made that trip. SOooooo, I started
thinking it may be time to pull the heavy varmint barrel, and
go with a 20" HBar profile 6x45. I have a 6mm WOA, and a
6.8 SPC, so I am not sure I need another 6mm something, but I
am going to lighten up the barrel, so I may as well make it a
more interesting cartridge than the plain jane 223 Rem. At
least the grandson could use it for deer, with a 6x45 barrel.
Can anyone suggest a 6x45 barrel supplier to shop for a
20" SS HBar profile(.75" @ gas block) 6x45 barrel? I think
I would like a 1:8.5 twist barrel, but a 1:9 might do.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
