Is the V max considered a "fragmenting" bullet?

I messed my ribs up on my shooting side this last weekend and Deer Firearm season opens Saturday. Still can't cough but very lightly without feeling like I'm going to die. I might have to try some leftover Remington ammo in my 22-250. Had the 30-06 sighted in but I have no interest in shooting that so soon. I feel I could put it in the window of the blind and actually get the shot off, but I'm afraid I may repeat the massive pain I felt last weekend if I'm not lucky.

I've shot a few deer (10+) with 55gr .224", 60gr .224", 75gr .243" & 87gr .243" Vmax's. All shots behind the shoulder & every deer died within 60 yards or so, some very quick. In most cases the bullets exited as well (all the .243 cal bulelts exited). I wouldn't recomend it as a do-all bullet, but it will work with well placed shots (staying away from bode & heavy tissue) if that's what you got with you. They make better bullets for deer, but not for small stuff.

Does that mean not shooting the street lights out, with it?

Excellent point but they are almost perfect with that.
