I've had a long-term committed relationship with the .22-250. Then I was gifted a 6 Creed, threw a DBH6 on it, and I'm really liking it. This was the first hunt with the new setup.

$ix Creed appears to be mixing in just fine! Great shooting! You’ll probably need to re-barrel soon at that rate! Lol… It’s insane to me to see that many coyotes so consistently in your videos. Looking forward to more!

For hunting, I have a Dead Air Nomad Ti, which meters right up there with the Enticer L.

My L is the regular S/S one that weighs 17 ozs, no biggie for my heavy PD rifles.

Exactly the way I felt in the early 80's after getting my first .243 and relegating the 22 hornet to woodchuck elimination.
Looks like you have a winning combination, but I think you'd end up with a pile of coyote no matter what cartridge you use.

I plan on using it this winter, and I get to keep the optic afterward. The only downside is the size, which is why I went with the 6 instead of the 12. Going from a 640 to a 1280 isn’t as big of an image-quality jump as I expected it would be.

Last year I actually went from a 1280 Adder V2 to a 640 Rattler V3 because I wanted something smaller and more compact. The downside was AGM’s LRFs are just lacking. My main hunting partners last winter were running DBHs and were consistently ranging coyotes that I simply couldn’t range. It happened over and over, and that was the biggest thing I wanted to fix.

I thought it was a joke the first time I saw the size of those DBH scopes mounted on a rifle.
Reminded me of the old AN/PAS-19 scope.
My foray into the 1280 resolution world didn't work like I planned too.
It was the S60R scopes weight, size and lack of a reactive reticle that made me go back to using a svelte 640 Wave 650 V2 scope.
The performance of the S60R was stellar, but not for the terrain I hunt.
I think that scope would be great for your terrain.
I know we'll be seeing more use of that rifle before winter.

I thought the same thing when I first saw the DBH last year, but after hunting next to guys using them, I changed my mind. I’ve had ballistic calculators set up on different optics, but I kept struggling to get a range on a coyote-sized target in open terrain past 400 yards. Where I hunt, you don’t have much time once they stop, and they usually don’t stand still for long. A lot of times I was ranging a bigger terrain feature near them just to get a reading.

I used the H50R, and it was a nice scope. For a tube-style optic, it really wasn’t terribly heavy, and the image was impressive. The Wave has a pretty good LRF too, and their latest firmware was supposed to give you a dot for the LRF aim point instead of the circle or box, but mine didn’t transfer over. I talked to the owner, and he said if the update was done with a weak Wi-Fi signal, not everything may have gotten pushed through. He suggested uninstalling and reinstalling it somewhere with a stronger signal.

I just haven’t taken the time to mess with it. 😂 I live in the country, so my Wi-Fi may be part of the problem. Honestly, I want to put an optic on a rifle and go hunting. I don’t want to download apps, update firmware, and troubleshoot Wi-Fi just to make the damn thing work. 😂
 
One thing I really like about the DBH is the built-in laser. It’s not something I thought I needed until I started using one. Finding downed coyotes in thick grass, or rough terrain at a distance is where it really shines.

Funny thing is, after people have hunted with me in my area and seen how useful it is, they’ve started adding lasers to their rifles just for finding downed coyotes. It seems like one of those things you don’t appreciate until you’ve used it.
