I'm looking for input on the Jack Attack OR Jack in the Bow FoxPro decoy & how the tiny LED light helps OR hurts predators coming in to a set up.

Really seems reasonable that this tiny light would help at night, but I'm sure those that have used it know for sure...

I have the FoxJack on my FX3. You're right about the birds of prey. Mine is a hawk and owl magnet. It is lit as well.

do you hunt with night vision or lights? I would guess that if you use lights the called critter won't be able to see the lighted decoy when it is coming in. Otherwise it would be able to see you also.

The light for the decoy is not strong enough and it is pointed at the decoy, its kind of like a small area LED light. When scanning your using pretty strong beamed lights and pointing the beam at or just above the animal. Just make sure the decoy is not too close to you. I've used a small LED light attached to my MOJO critter with rubber band.

how well does this work? I hunt with NV and would consider this trick if it works, anyone see it spook game?, I have gone as far as putting tape over my dogs e-collar to cover the blinking lights, as many do with their FLIR to cover the control pad

With my eyes, the LED is just bright enough to see a shadow of something small flopping around at about 25yds. It isn't really bright enough to see any color of the decoy and the direction of the bulb pretty much prevents lighting up the base unit since it is pointed straight up. I'm sure the predators can see it better than me though. It's not as bright as those cheesy light up keychains you get free from time to time. I had foxes charge right up to the Foxpro J-I-B and a coyote almost slide through my FoxJack the first time I used it. Not sure if it helps or not, but haven't seen it hurt yet, so I keep running mine. It is also nice to have a slight visual on your call without having to light it up with a scan light.
