Anyone have experience with a Jard adjustable drop in 2# trigger in an AR?

Thanks AWS

I tried a Jard in a AR15 5.56 , (a non-drop in model).
It would unexpectedly Double-Tapp on occasion .
Kept trying to adjust it out , then got frustrated. Pulled it out, Sold it, put a Timney 3 pound Drop-IN.($200+).
Been a Happy Customer Ever since !
Lucas Drop-Ins are another Nice Brand.($150+).

Yes, you pay for a 2# trigger, and when it doesn’t work, you have to go to a 3# trigger. If you are willing to go to a 3# trigger, there are a lot of choices that are better than a Jard.

I bought a non drop in one back in 01’ or 02’ I had issues with it and down the road it went. Had some light primer strikes and fail to fires with it. I now have a 3 lb Timney in my POF P415 14.5” barreled rifle. My Timney brakes lighter than advertised at a hair under 2 and 3/4lbs. I have shot .3” groups with it at 200 yards when I do my part. I also bought a cmc 2.5 single stage trigger that brakes at 2.2 lbs. Both triggers have a little creep in them and are not crisp but the average person probably wouldn’t notice. I haven’t tried the CMC out yet but mounted it in my aero Percision lower. It does some weird rocking back-and-forth when it’s not cocked. Seems like it’s pretty common if you watch YouTube videos but apparently it doesn’t affect the performance of the trigger CMC sent me a couple of them they all did the same thing. As long as I can pull the trigger gonna go bang I’ll be happy since it breaks at 2.2 pounds.

I paid $200 back then directly from Jard. With all the triggers options out now the market is saturated and the prices seem to have dropped. When I bought my Timney six plus years ago it was almost 200 bucks and I bought another one from Optics planet last fall for $167 and the CMC for 130.... both single stage.

I never had a trigger scale back in the day but I can tell you the Jard I owned pulled heavier than the claimed 2 lbs and had a little creep in it as well. After the first range session and four of the first six rounds had light primer strikes I was done with it. It also wasn’t resetting. It’s been almost two decades and still strikes a nerve.
