Well I am going to put in for Javelina in the AZ draw.
Any of my fellow board members going to do the same?
Ought to look good next to my Russian boar.

What are some of the better units for Javelina?

Share some pics of these southwest piggies if you got them, Its only June, and Im dying for some trigger time.

I thought about it, but cant seem to find if there is a season open near Bagdad , wickenburg or wikiup for rifle season.

Here is one I took on the San Carlos a few years back.

Tackdriver, the new fall hunts for javalina will be held during the same time as some of the deer hunts and you will be competing with the deer hunters. So I’ll wait until the spring hunts to apply. My unit of choice is 37A.

Crapshoot, the units that you would be interested in are: 16A, 17B, 18B and 20 C. Those hunts are held in the spring, during the February through March time frame. Check the AG&FD website for spring application deadlines.

We were in Las Vegas last week and while there I tried to get the regulatins for predators. I only got the big game regulations. However while driving to and from LV and a little viewing from the air, your part of the world it seems to me is not a predator rich enviroment, but I could be wrong.

They are here, just not in big numbers.Actually, we have a descent population of kit fox, greys , and bobcats. Even a few Mt lions. Just not huge numbers. Not much water at all. Coyotes are free. No lisence. Only fur beared open to nonresident is kitfox. Nonresident trappers permit is required and there is a season. You should have hollered, Igive great dessert tours , but call them guided coyote hunts. LOL /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Coyote regulations.

Furbearer season and regs.

Where are the best desserts? One of my favorites is pecan pie, with a good peach cobbler ala mode a close second. I'd like to see one of those while I'm there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Boartuff,

The Arizona Game & Fish Department annually publishes their Hunt Arizona, Survey, Harvest and Hunt Data for Big and Small Game, I think the price is $10.00 and covers the last 5 year period. I’ll assume by your picture that you would be interested in a HAM hunt (handgun, archery and muzzleloader). In just making my best estimate of the data listed, half of all hunt listed had the first or second choice applicants had 100% chance of being drawn. The minimum percentage was in the forties. Some units for the last 5 years had 100% chance of being drawn every year. So if you pick the right units it looks like it you would be almost certain to be drawn.
