Jeep Wrangler Owners

If your not use to a solid axle vehicle then the jeep might be hard to jump into but drive it a while and you'll love it.

I had to have a Jeep Wrangler. Then I finally got one. Just sold it this year. It was a 2003 and looked like the one in the picture above. I prefer a bed to throw dead animals in. Jeeps are dang good in the woods. They are fun to take the top off and ride to the river or lake, or to a ballgame. But, I'd just rather have a truck. No more Jeeps for me.

I picked up a 2001 TJ sport for the snowy days in Oklahoma and for roaming around on the ranch down in Texas. Even though I have the comfy silverado crewcab I tend to jump in the jeep most of the time. Its my third and I just like them. You're on the right track with the 4.0. Do not settle for a 4 cylinder. Good luck and enjoy.

I have had 3 CJ's and all three were border line POS's. Ditch the Jeep idea and get a Toyota and don't look back.
I got a Tacoma and it serves as a work truck and a "Huntin" truck and in it stock form gets me in and out of the woods and to work and it is tough as nails!!

Let the flames begin, I can take it!!

I havent forgotten about this thread...Im still looking lol. I have some time before hunting season rolls around. Stil trying to sel that darn mustang too.

Thanks for all of the info guys

Bought a new Wrangler in 2004. It was great for a utility vehicle but I certainly wouldn't own it as a primary ride. They don't drive well on the open highway, great for off roadin but the soft tops all leak...air and water and the ride is choppy.

Just sold a 2005 Grand Cherokee that was a great vehicle but a little more plain than my wife wanted.

My wifes Limited Jeep Commander, now thats a whole different story.

I bought a Nissan Xterra last fall and really like it so far. You get a lot mechanically for your money with them. You won't get much for creature comforts but it is a comfortable truck. It is solid and powerful, rides well on the highway but doesn't let you forget it's a truck. It also has a lot of cool features geared towards people who like to do outdoors stuff.
