Anyone hunt with one of their newer line calls this last winter? In my area more and more people are calling and most people are calling with foxpro e-callers. I've been thinking about buying the bloodhound before next winter to have some thing different and to get my hands on those JS sounds. I just can't find many reviews other than one or two on the web. All I hear is good things about JS sounds so they must call in dogs. Wonder how tough and reliable they are in the field, particularly ND cold?

I hear JS sounds are great, but I already own 3 e-callers already. My FoxPro sounds are top notch, but I think every Tom, Dick, & Harrry are using them all winter long. I like to mouth call too, but when 20 below I like to keep the mittens on as much as possible and let the call run as much as the next guy. Thinking JS sounds aren't getting over played now days. Wondering what the quality of the calls are compared to foxpro, cuz the JS calls aren't cheap either.

I've got the Bloodhound. Used it all last winter and it worked without a hitch. The sounds are pretty good and easy to operate. A little bulky but a small backpack takes care of that. I'm kind of migrating back to mouth calls but, wouldn't be afraid to fire up the Bloodhound. One thing...The batteries can be a,"bit**" to change on the caller. Other then the battery issue it's a good solid caller and more than loud enough.

Not sure if you have hunted over the foxpro wildfire, but if you have how does it compare to it it regarding volume clarity and loudness?

I have a Gallows JS, I think they say the remote will work 200-300yds, which I haven't tested that far, but it does work @ 100yds. I see no need to put out past 100yds, the sounds are great, it`s plenty loud, and lots of sound choices. The remote has a built in lithium battery, which can be charged with 12v cord( supplied) while having lunch in the truck, an awesome idea. I have nothing bad to say about the JS Gallows, you can also change the colour of the display on the remote and base unit to what suits your eyes, and can be set quite bright, a great caller.
