Joseph and Mary unwelcomed immigrants

I watched the Minneapolis police chief give a news conference and relate that Joseph and Mary were treated like unwelcome immigrants and were forced to sleep in a barn. I didn't know you could flunk Sunday school.

I'm seeing ads on TV with the same comment. Supposedly from churches. If they are that ignorant I don't want to go to their 'churches'.

Thought they had to show up to where Joseph was from for a census or something like that? How can you be a refugee in the Country you’re from?

Yep, Joseph and Mary had to come in to register to be taxed by the Roman authorities. They were not "treated" better or worse than anyone else. They arrived a little late to get a shelter other than a stable with the animals. Jesus consistently exhibited his humanity during his time here. Thank you Jesus, my sins are forgiven!
