Just a little bit blue...

Curt, I was using my .20-250 yesterday, "The Big Twenty" /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. That thing has the most vicious meat report of anything I've ever used. Chest hits sound like Hank Arron is out there beating on a big rotten pumpkin with an axe handle or something. Pick up the dead coyote and the insides slosh like a half full keg of beer.

LOL!! Now that's a vivid description that makes me want to own one. Sounds like a great cartridge. That is one sweet looking rifle Dave. Nice looking coyotes too. Good job! Looking forward to your new sounds. I've sure had good luck with your other Jack sound.

Good hunting

the rabbit population is definatly down as far as I can tell. I saw about a dozen rabbits in 2 days of hunting, these areas in years past I would see 100's in the same time period, I am wondering if the tuff winter killed them off, the snow covered alot of sage allowing the hawks and eagles to wreak havoc on them. we also only got in singles except for one stand 2 came in, in the 2 days. heard some howling and a little aggressive type howling however every attempt to give it back to them, never netted a dog

DAA, what bullet are you using?

Dogcatcher, I'm using a custom bullet that Don Unmussig made for me, to my spec's. It's a 38 gr., with a long boat tail (about .060), a sleek 9S ogive, short bearing surface (about 1 caliber), and the smallest meplat Don could point-up on them, made on drawn down J4 .224 jackets.

I just tried posting a picture of the bullets, but the picture is too big and won't post. You can see the picture and read more than you ever wanted to about bullets for my .20-250 at my website by clicking here.

P.S. I really dig your jeep too. It's funny how many coyotes those spare tires can carry.
