So.. I have been wanting a good e-call for years. Tried several cheap versions and always end up dissappointed and just used my mouth calls.
Well, I finally pulled the trigger on the CS2415w from all predator calls. Here is why..
1). Reputation of FP.
2). Owners not afraid of posting their views etc. and taking criticism on these boards. That would take thick skin even when some of the flack is blatently false. I personally like the responses from FP reps. I also like some of the others on here as well though.
3). I like the TAO style horn. Must be from the younger years of using my grandpas JS 45rpm caller.
4). Ability to pack is not of much concern, even though the cs24 looks easy enough. The fury or spitfire style just seem like the small speakers and low profile would be robbed of volume and clutter the sound when sitting on the ground by weeds grass etc.
5). I had about a $500 limit.
6). From my understanding, there probably is some better sounds but the FP seems to have the better hardware. Foremost the open system. I find it hard to believe that I could not download some dang good freebies from other sources ie varmintals etc.
7). Warranty - seems to be about the best. I do hate having to keep the reciept though. I am sure I will lose the reciept before 5 yrs is up.
8). Ordered from allpredatorcalls.com - I have ordered hand calls from the past and they were knowledgeable on the phone when I ordered those. Plus they sent me a fancy magazine after I have ordered. They did not let me down when I called to place this order either. Being a beginner e-caller I know some of the sounds I wanted but had know idea about the vast number of calls they offer. The guy was super curtious and walked me through the whole deal like a was a peer and not an inferior user. Nothing but thumbs up.
Now I sure hope the CS24 with the 15w speaker lives up to what I need. It sure was a chunk of change.
