Just picked up a Lilja Barreled 722 action with shilen trigger I want to use 25gr bergers as I have some of the old ones left lying around and had good luck with them in my 17 FB. Just wondering what you guys have used and liked so I can maybe get a idea where to start. Will mostly be used as a calling gun reading the power of what these 17rem can do intrigues me LOL. I currently am using a CZ527 in 204,a Pre-garcia Sako vixen varmint in 222mag and my ruger 77 in 220 for those long shot days

. Thx in advance for any replies all !!

23.9gr. of 8208, 24.6gr. of 4320, and 20.9gr. of H322. Any of those three work very well in my Lilja barrel. The first 2 are my favorite.

Sounds like you picked up a darn nice 17Rem. Any photo's? Is it a 9 twist or a 10 twist? If its a 9 twist those 30gr. bullets work real well on Coyotes also.

It is a 1-10 twist. Thanks all I will give some a try and report back.

If those are the the older Berger 25 grain Match Target I hope you have a bunch of them because they've been discontinued. The only .17 cal bullet Berger makes is the 25 grain Varmint which is undependable on coyotes. Lots of surface splash and little penetration.
