That lever action looks like it has mange or from the movie Cowboys and Alliens. Yuk, they wouldn't have to worry about banning them cause no one would want to be seen carrying it. Should be considered a concealed weapon.
I have always like the VTRs but I bet those upward vents will play heck with your night vission sight picture when it goes off. Might be a momentary loss of view.
VTR isn't ugly, it's one of the nicest guns I own. I have the stainless version in .223 In factory stock shoots under 1/2 Moa , and is a phenomenal rifle. I get compliments about looks all the time at the range and people who see it so that must account for something
I just zero'd it out at the range yesterday. It is a shooter, that's for sure. 3 shot groups all touching at 50 yards. (Its difficult to zero the Photon xt 4.6 at ranges greater than that in the daylight.)
I was shooting 69 grain sierra match with 25 grains of varget. The rounds were measured for my Savage BVSS chamber.
It takes on a little character with a scope mounted on it. I like it.
