Ken Farrell Rings and Bases

Does anyone have any experience with Ken Ferrell rings and bases? I am looking at getting a set for my cooper model 54 Phoenix but I am not sure how high I should get for rings? I am going to put a Lupold the VX3 8.5x25x50 on top. Are these pretty high quality? Almost 300 dollars for rings and bases is a little steep but maybe it's worth it. Not sure how many other good options for Cooper are around

I had a 20 moa KF base on my 700. The base was well made and stout. It was a very high base. Even with medium rings, it placed the objective bell of the scope well over the barrel--too high for my taste. They are also pretty heavy which may not be an issue at all for your Cooper. If it were the only rail I could get for my Cooper, I'd definitely use it but I prefer a lower and lighter base.

This photo is with a VX3 6.5-20X50mm.

Another model base may be different. Hope this helps.

I two sets of KF rings and bases. They are very well made and wirth the money. The bases are a little high. One rifle wears a set of (30mm) low rings and the other rifle wears a set of (30mm) rings.
If you buy a set of KF rings make sure the clamp bolt head is on the right side of the reciever.
