Hi guys this is copy and pasted directly from Kerry's Facebook page.
A LITTLE UPDATE ON WHAT’S GOING ON With my eyes
Several folks have been asking me what’s going on with my eyes, so I thought I would try to explain it the best I can.
After having cataract surgery, I developed something called PVD (Posterior Vitreous Detachment). That’s a condition where the gel-like substance inside your eye begins to pull away from the retina, which is the light-sensitive tissue at the back of your eye.
This can cause floaters, which are little spots, cobwebs, or shadows that drift across your vision. Unfortunately, mine aren’t just little spots. I have some very large floaters that can make it difficult to see clearly. Imagine trying to look through your windshield while big blobs are constantly floating across your field of vision. That’s what it can be like for me.
Even though cataract surgery helped with the cloudiness in my eyes, these floaters have created a whole different problem with my vision. They can be distracting, frustrating, and make everyday things harder than they should be.
I appreciate everyone who has checked on me and asked how I’m doing. I wanted to explain what’s happening because you can’t always tell by looking at someone just how much trouble they’re having seeing.
Thank you all for your kindness, patience, and understanding. It means more than you know!
For those of you wanting Calls from me I do have a pretty good inventory and I will be putting them on my website as I get time, I’ll put a few on each week until they’re gone, which will probably be approximately the end of the year to possibly into the first part of next year.
In the meantime, my son Casey is gearing up. He will start posting some up soon!! Watch for them. His calls are absolutely beautiful..
