Kill Suit

I am thinking of ordering a set from All Predator Call and did not see any reviews for them on the website. Any one out there use this Cammo and how do you like it.

I use the woodland and like it just fine. I do however wish I would have got the desert camo one, I think it would blend better to my area.

I have a ghillie suit that i never use because the strips tend to get hung up on everything and it gets annoying. If you ever carry your gun with a sling, the suit tends to tangle in a bipod if using one. I think that if you hunt areas that cover is tough to find, then a top would not be a bad idea. But if you can find cover or shadows the suits are not necessary.

I stopped using camo. Around here we have a cubic ton of wanna-be hunters and I have been followed around be these cherry-pickers between stands/locations. I'm not sure of their motivation but it is usually harmless except the fact that they always try to engage me in conversation as I am hiking a road or leaving my vehicle.......I JUST WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE AND PLEASE BE QUIET ABOUT IT!!!!

So I have given up on camo all together as to hide myself from other hunters, Game and Fish and the Liberals.

Here is my typical get-up. The secret is to be ultra quiet, minimize movement into a stand, utilize the natural foliage to conceal, and DON'T MOVE A MUSCLE when the predator is approaching.

Seems to work, here is one of my fox doubles from last week;

^^^^^??? I don't see anyone in that pic so Im calling BS.......Ha.

I had the same problem with my gullies suit as yoteslayer did so it sits unused. I went back to just a camo zip up jacket and camo pants. Like stated above use rocks bushes shadows trees to hide and break up your outline and you'll be fine. Use the money on fuel or ammo. Killed a couple in my work clothes which was blue jeans and a light gray shirt. The wind and sun were in my favor that day and luckily my aim was on.

Thanks for the replys. My existing Cammo is getting wore out so i am looking at replacing it. We usually hunt in Temps from 60 degrees down to around 0 with a wind chill. So instead of buying a whole new closet full of Cammo I was looking for something light weight that i could put over anything. As far as finding cover we hunt a lot of CRP so if we tuck back into cover we have a hard time seeing out. So we have to find a somewhat open area just to be able to see a coyote approaching.

I have a kill suit from AllPredatorCalls.com and love it. It is the "3-D strips wicked woods ghillie suit." It is light weight and fits over anything I am wearing so I never need to buy other camo clothing. This ghillie sheds debris and can be used in warm weather or cold temps over jackets and insulated coveralls. I have walked through tumbleweeds in this ghillie suit and it still shed the debris without having to manually untangle things. I carry a day pack with shooting sticks in my pack and my gun on a sling over my shoulder. The ghillie does not hang up on my equipment. I highly recommend it!

Here is a link to more info about it.

Just a couple of the reasons we use the New Tac Con HVP hood from O'Neill Ops... lightweight, breathable for hot conditions, or easily used as a pull over for cold conditions, no pants to get hung up crossing fences etc. ergonomic front buckle provides easy use of a chest rig or bino pack, it's a high speed low drag system that works effectively while breaking up our outline while skylined or sitting, or total concealment (from the front and side) while going prone.

I have two kill suits, desert and snow, and I love them. they go over your outer cloths and do not pick up any thing from the ground like some other suits do.

I actually just finished building this tonight. I'm hoping that it'll help break up my outline in the more Bare areas. I'm also hoping it doesn't snag too easily as it is really only on the hood and tops of shoulders and a little down the back. Made it with stripped para cord and some jute and raffia grass.

You guys offer these yet?

The kill suits look good. I ran into an issue with the other suits getting caught and picking up everything.

I personsally use the m2d stuff, and when it wears out will just get a set of surplus military desert camo from the military.

For the tops, i just get a bigger top t shirt and pull it over my clothes, Great for when it's hot, and then works when it's cold too.

They have a big contract to fill, and ours are cut, but just waiting to start production again!
Crossing fingers they will be ready before hunting season.
