Because you are crying about a $6000 dollar dog can you imagine the crap anyone of us would take if we put up a $16,000 dollar dog????
And I don't understand it because I see coonhounds back east sold for $20,000 and upward to $200,000 but if we put up a $6,000 dollar dog we get $hit like you are giving.
Over the years,seeing your posts on here and other boards, I would have never expected this from you.

Real hunter....lol i have never claimed to be anything other then an idiot...hence the name "POSER" I'm ok with reality buddy. I will never be a Kim Payne nor will 99.9% of the people on here.

Not really sure where this is going but he is selling a dog for $6,000.00 if you cant understand why....don't worry about it. There are better things to worry about in life then someones dog that you will never meet or see.

Emerald, i couldn't pay that much money for a dog either. But there are plenty of people out there who do. I just wish i knew what they did. Guaranteed it isn't work 2 jobs, farm, break colts and own a pack or trashy hounds that just eat and poop. Oh and try and keep up with my 5 kids. Now there is an idiot!!!!

Whats crazy is Kim turned down $7,500.00 for a 2year old male last year....the reason is he is only 2. He will be for sale when he is 6 just the same as any other dog he has owned.

Maybe you took me the wrong way. I did not mean anything bad when I said (he sure is proud ain't he). What I was saying is he is proud of what he was breeding. But you took it the wrong way. You know, if the dog is worth 6,000 grand then by all means I would not take anything less. If he is worth more than by all means sell him for more. I would not pay 6,000 grand for a dog, but thats just me. I would rather buy a pup and make him into a 6,000 dollar dog. I am not new to hunting with hounds. I have owned many and know what it takes to make them into something great. I used to run blue dogs for years, and decided to hang it up when my last two hounds died. I just got into terriers close to a year ago and decided not to buy any more hounds. I would love to make a living out of running dogs, but where I live that is not an option. We do not have bears, lions, or bob cats. So I guess anyone who gets on a message board is not a real "hunter"? Well I have said enough, and I am not here to make any enemies. So sorry about the post that was misunderstood.

So if you took my post the wrong way, sorry about that. I could have worded it better.

Tim, its all good....just a little friendly discussion. I hope noone gets all wound up about this.

The problem "i see" is a dog was posted for sale. If someone wants to buy the dog or ask questions about the dog, its fine. When someone makes a statement about the dogs or the owner when they know nothing about either one, it b.s. Like Devin said on other boards if you do this you get kicked off.

If anyone has a problem with it, start a new post, dont wreck one just because you can understand why someone would sell a good dog.

Just like everyone else...i have my opinion. A real hunter to me is someone who earns his living doing it. Not just a hobby or something to pass the time. I'm not saying in any way that people aren't passionate about it. There is just a huge difference in the type of dogs that you can produce.

Hope that everyone can get over this and worry about the real things in life that matter.

The "No Price Challenge" rule is strictly enforced on the Classified section for good reason. Perhaps it should be applied to the new Pups/Dogs For Sale section here also.
 
Ok, I wasn't gonna chime in on here, but its getting out of hand. I assure you all if Kim had read some of this BS on here, he'd never put a dog on here for sale. Poser is a man of his word and is trying to help Kim out, Kim don't even know how to turn one of these [beeep] computers on trust me.

All that Poser is doing is getting it out there that this dog is for sale, yeah, for $6000, and yeah thats a [beeep] of alot. He will sell the dog, and it will be for $6000 if you don't want him, for [beeep] sakes don't buy him. I hunt with Kim all of the time, I guide for him, and I spend as much time with his dogs as anyone else. I know him well, as I am married to his daughter. I have hunted with him for upwards of 15 years, and this is how he does business.

He hunts for a living, and has been breeding this line of dogs for years. His dad was one of the best know Govt. Hunters in Utah, way back when. The dogs all go back to his dads old lines. He don't keep old dogs around, he sells them all at age 6 or 7, he does this for a reason. The reason is, they are still in their prime, young enough for someone who knows a little about hounds and hunting to still get a whole bunch of good out of them. They are old enough, that he has a whole bunch of others to fill in, he raises new dogs each year, and they are all good, or he won't own them. If he has kept a dog around for 6 years, it means something, it is a [beeep] good dog. Like I said if you don't want him don't buy him.
