280ai? I did it just because I wanted one. My everyday rifle is a mkv 300wea.
I have 3 270s 1 708 1 280ai 1 7mag etc. So where does the 280ai fit? On the right hand side of my safe. Logic isnt the point.

Bingo sandy hicks. Unless the person who asks me “why when this does the same thing” only has a .30-06 and a .223 in the safe it’s pure hypocrisy. 99% of the guys on here have rifles that really don’t do much different than the ones they already have.
I reload. So I want to be able to shoot something different, even if it is the reinvention of the wheel. I have a .270, boooring. But effective. Everybody has a .270, not knocking it. Less recoil and the same bullet selection and close to the velocity of a 7mag... what’s not to like.
