Just a heads up to mention how great their customer service is. About 18 years ago I purchased an 821 series spotting scope from them with the fixed 27X Long eye relief eye piece. Recently I noticed that the protective coating on the main tube had become sticky. I called them and asked what I could use to remove the coating. They told me not to do that but to send it to them and they would remove the coating and apply a new finish which would not deteriorate. It seems that a number of these scopes were produced with a defective coating that over the years was breaking down. In addition they would clean all lenses and eye piece and insure that all seals were free of leaks all this at their expense. The scope had to be returned to Japan for the work. The actual turn around for this was 5 weeks.
If any of you have ever used their scopes you will appreciate how happy I am that this scope has been completely repaired.
 
Good to know, thanks for sharing. I've been considering one of their spotting scopes for range use.
 
5 weeks turnaround for an 18 year old optic to be returned in as new condition ain't to bad. And a little icing on the cake.....FREE!!
