KRG Bravo chassis left hand mod

I have a bravo stock with a big horn left hand action. The bolt area has been milled with some hand filing. My question is what can I use on the polymer to smooth it out and make it look more of a factory finish? I also need ideas on simple ways to touch up the exposed aluminum.

Running AI 10 round mags and having some feeding issues. It’s almost like the mag lips are a little too tight or something. The bolt is very smooth with mag removed. With rounds loaded they seem to hang up on chambering a new round. You have to push pretty hard to get the round chambered.

For the Aluminum, Birchwood Casey Aluma-black (if I’m recalling the name correctly) works very well to blacken Aluminum. I’ve used it to retouch dozens of AR receivers, rings, rails, optic mounted etc.

For the polymer, MEK is the only good means I know to actually polish polymer, but it may not offer an exact matching surface at the end - but it WILL let you polish out machining marks, those nasty white smears, leaving a more subdued black finish which blends in until you look for it and see the texture isn’t quite matched with the molded exterior texture.

Sorry. Link should work now thanks for letting me know. I haven’t heard of that paint before but I’m ordering some. Could you explain what exactly MEK is? Is that an acronym for something I could get from Natchez or Midway USA?

Also any suggestions on the mag issue or will it smooth out over time. There is some play in my magazine well where the mag rattles but I don’t know if this is normal with the bravo chassis or not.

MEK - Methol Ethol Keytone (sp). Pick up at your local paint store or auto parts store that sells paint.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone.

Looks like you need to draw back the polymer a bit farther to mirror the opposite side - note the fracture you have in the bolt handle groove at the top edge.
