I found a good deal on a neoprene lanyard to use with a handheld thermal scanner and the 1/4 x 20 connector is included. It can be used with FLIR, IR Defense, Pulsar and any other unit with a 1/4 x 20 tripod mount.

The lanyard on the left is the one I am referring to and is much cheaper than the FLIR lanyard on the right. It can be purchased for $8.95 plus shipping at amazon.com.
