Road kill unless you have an actual story and video of the results of posted pic…also need a newspaper with today’s date for proof this wasn’t an old pic in the photo…and need to see entrance wounds and exit if there were any.

Congrats on a successful pic!!

Well it all happened in a field, far far away, yea yea that’s it(actually about 7 miles)and I had to walk uphill for a mile carrying all my stuff (probably 1/4 mile) and got everything set up right at dusk. Sat there for awhile getting the thermal set up and went with lucky pecker after 10 minutes or so. Pretty dark by then, no moon yet. Had some cattle on my left and what looked like a coyote and was probably a deer 400 some yds in front of me, head down grazing, didn’t give a lick about the call. Let it go 5 or so and went with cottonbawl for awhile, think about 8/9 minutes in I had one show up hard left and started coming around with another showing up behind. Let them come and eventually had one come up a slight hill to me, enough that I lost sight of it, then it showed had to b 30 yds away in front. Knocked it down thinking the other would start running but took a bit to get it back in sight. Think if I had taken the gun out of the tripod I would have had a freehand shot pretty close. As it was it kept going left on me and dadgummit pulled the trigger on it and click #%€£¥£%#% pulled the handle back let it drop and clicked again, damn. Did another ejection and line up again around 200 now and heard the whop and it dropped. There’s more to the story but it involves some misses and gun falling off my shoulder while going after the last coyote. Big male and small male. Headed to Illinois to hunt there the rest of the month and let the deer and elk guys get out of my way.

Can’t compete with Infidel but did shoot 3 last night in Illinois, double and a single. Been warm so seems like the coyotes aren’t very aggressive. Cooled off so probably why we got these. Lots of coyotes around it seems , lots of howling out there just not coming in. Got another single few nights ago, 2 minute coyote there.

Crap, crap, crap!Well one of those nights, called in 6 and don’t think we got one one the ground.Called in 2 singles on my buddy’s side, first one was out @ 150 and he didn’t get squared up on it and missed. Second had the coyote blow out in front of me 40-50 feet out running right which put him on a good line for my bud. Was playing pup distress and the coyote was looking for where they were and started slowing down to a stop when my bud started shooting. 3 shots later gone. My friend gets excited around coyotes. Anyway we hit another spot and call in a quad and things went to hell.I was facing north which is where the coyotes came from, my bud was facing east behind me, I told him we had 4 coming hard but he’s almost 80 and can’t here worth a damn, anyway they came in pretty close, probably should seen if they would stop but ended up shooting shoot at one going to my right not very fast, thought I hit but it kept going. Now the sad part, click, racked another round click, this another 4 times and never got another shot off while they milled around @ 2-250 yds out. Buddy got 1shot off but he never got himself in position. Figured out light pin strike so cleaned out the bcg today, OUCH
