I'm not sure buddy. It's in their Spring 2007 catalog, so I assume it will run for a while. Probably a call to the 800 number could lock in the details.

DO you recommend the variable speed or the single speed? ( Yes I know there is a price difference.

The variable speed is out of stock, but are expected soon and is almost $100more. The manual speed change lathe is in stock and they have super fast shipping. I just checked.

If I'd had the money, I'd have gone variable speed. But to be honest, I can change pulleys in the wink of an eye. In fact, there's lot of times I just leave it on one speed for days at a time. A lot of it depends on the type of wood you are turning.

I guess it's like boots, guns, trucks, etc. Buy the best you can afford, then take care of it.
