Sorry smilin. Happy said that one is going to his Colorado friend.

Ok i know this has been asked but what light compares as closely as possible to the XLR250 Kill Light? Size, dimension, yardage etc????

I think it's this one or a uf900 but I don't have either. Someone else might verify that. uf900 seems to be a little harder to get a hold of. Bodies are exact.

These will give equal results or a little better.

For XR-E LED's, the typical current reading will be between 0.6 amps to as high as 1.4 amps. The Red Sniper Hog Light Destroyer measures 1.4 amps.
I wonder what the measurements are for all the lights that HappyYoter owns? What is the current for the XLR250?

lol wrong every light i bought i can id 200 yards through my scope no problem...measure all you want with your meter....i measure in the field using it for what its purpose is....night hunting.....and they all work as far as a hunter can shoot at night....and have a nice tight beam unlike the red flood master kill light...you mentioned...xrl250...

i read the specs and read forums on the lights i bought..well before i bought them..also any brighter and your burnin critters...

Great question. The selection of lights is a bit overwhelming!

Just got back from hunting tonight. First trip out with the Ultrafire G4. The female long howls from my Spitfire did the trick. Heard some howls down the hollar from me. Just a few minutes and I saw eyes about 100y. Clicked on the Ultrafire and yep no problem seeing it was a yote. Turned him a flip with my Sportical, but he got up and ran off. I was scanning with a Fenix headlamp useing yellow gel paper on both lights. The G4 so far is a great light.

But I havent seen anyone review it yet.

That one has the orange peel reflector. It won't have the throw that a longer smooth reflector has.

Hey guys, is there somewhere i can order new switches from DE. I haven't been able to find one. Bad clickie high/ low switch. Their sight is not user friendly for replacement parts. I have the WF-600 3W Cree Q2. Thanks for any help.

Yea I need a clicky for my Fenix P3D. I just changed the battery and screwed the clicky back on and I lost three modes. Now all I have is high and strobe. Hope I can find one in the USA. Dont have much confidence in chinese shipping.

Gents,

I just purchased the XLR250 (Red Led) from Jeremiah and i will be using it this weekend for Coyotes. Calves are dropping and it seems the Coyotes like to hang within a mile radius of where the ranchers are calving.
One ranch i will be hunting is 20K acres and they are expecting 500 claves to be on the ground soon.

I have an additional question for the board. I also purchased a Lasergenetics ND3X50 Subzero and i am wondering if anyone has had any luck with this laser in the field looking for Coyotes? Do you use it for scanning?

No Red Fox in the area's i hunt, only Swift Fox and their season is closed til December 2011.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you!

DDW

I have no experience with the ND3, but I think that is designed as a shooting light. I would use the XLR for scanning and the ND3 for shooting.

Welcome to PM!

I broke down and ordered a UF900 from China. At least I'm not out a lot of money if it's junk.

Thanks Die Hard Member!

I should have my new XLR250 this week and i just spoke with the National Forest Service to get my 30 day permit to hunt their lands at night!

Have you had luck with Coyotes at night?

I have shot plenty during the day but only a handful at night while spotlighting.

I would only shine the light after a series of calling and i think i probably would have seen more Yote butt's if they would shine like their eyes. (running away)

I have had brief conversations via email with Jeremiah and he says to leave a light on at all times and place the caller near you. Also when was shining i did not have a cover modified for my light(s). i am sure everything in the county saw us sitting out there.

Thanks for any advice i really appreciate it!
